Policy

It is the primary and continuing policy of H.J. O'Connell Ltd., that in the conduct of its activities it will endeavour to protect the health and safety of its employees, and others who may be affected by these activities and endeavor to limit adverse effects on the physical environment in which its activities are carried out.

H.J. O'Connell Ltd. is committed to a strong Health and Safety - Loss Control Program that protects all its resources, including employees and property, from accidental loss. Accordingly the company is committed to achieving and sustaining "Zero Accident Performance" through continuous improvement practices.

Employees at every level, including management, are responsible and accountable for the company's overall safety initiatives. Complete and active participation by everyone, every day, in every job is necessary for the safety excellence the company expects.

Management supports participation in the plan by all employees and provides equipment, training and procedures. Employees are responsible for following all procedures, working safely and, wherever possible, improving safety measures.

Paramount to the success of any operation is a good safety program. The company is aware of the benefits of such a program for both the health and safety of its employees, its clients and for the successful completion of the work.
